Pride of the Southland Marching Band

Event Information:
–Open to the first 350 High School students who are currently Sophomores, Juniors, or *Seniors*.
*Preference given to Seniors who are planning to attend UT in the fall.
-This is open to woodwinds / brass / color guard / majorettes / percussion (snare/tenors/basses/cymbals only)

-Meet the students, staff, and faculty of the “Pride of the Southland” Band
-Visit the Natalie L. Haslam Music Center and band facilities
-Perform school songs with members of the Pride of the Southland Marching Band at the annual UT Orange and White Game
-$40 Registration fee (paid online-non refundable) includes T-Shirt, music, box lunch, and admission into the Orange & White Game
-Due to stadium construction, tickets will be limited to the public. There will be a brief meeting for parents/guardians prior to the game for those interested in learning more about UT and the the Band Program.
-All students must be able to read music and be able to physically walk from the music building to the stadium and into the stands
-Deadline to register is April 1 (open to the first 350 sophomores/juniors/seniors)

PRIDE MEMBER FOR A DAY REGISTRATION
Students must bring:
-Own instrument/equipment (drum sticks, mouthpiece, etc.)
-Own music lyre (we will provide music online and a flip folder/music at registration on April 13)
-Black shorts (warm weather) or Jeans (cool weather). Shirt will be provided.
-Sunscreen/Hat
-Money for concessions (optional)
Gameday Schedule:
8:00 – 9:00 am Registration (Natalie Haslam Music Center-Orchestra Room 110)
9:15 am STUDENTS: Meeting in Powell Auditorium
10:15 AM STUDENTS: Music rehearsal with the Pride at the Band Practice Field
11:00 AM Lunch with Pride Members at field (students only)
PARENTS/GUARDIANS: Meeting in Powell Auditorium
11:45 PM Full Band Depart for Neyland Stadium
12:30 PM Begin Playing-Orange & White Game
1:00 PM KICK OFF
3:00 PM End of game
